VW Info, Parts and Restoration

I came across this watercolor of a 23 window VW bus surfing the web today. The artist is Michael David Sorensen and you can see his art here. He gives a great description of what a lot of bus owner do to some of the vintage VW rides that they own. A funny thing about Volkswagens is that they are everywhere you see them on the road in shops getting worked on but more often than not you see a classic VW sitting in a field behind someone barn with rust and weeds as their backdrop. This is a great depiction of that.

Every time I drive my VW bus around people will stop me and start telling me their Volkswagen stories. “I remember the first VW bus I ever owned” or “one summer me and some friends took a bus to the grand canyon man was that a fun trip”. Some of the VW stories I’ve heard were funny and some are just not ready for the general masses ears. I ran across article “VW memories” and I thought it had some fun stories to tell. When most people look back in to their lives just about everyone has a story or a memory about VW buses or bugs its one of those things that make the Volkswagen one of the world most popular vehicles.
